| I purchased this book recently off of EBay out of curiosity
and found it an interesting read on a couple levels. The book is
a self-narrative supposedly written by the killer (named "Don") while
he was sentenced to a psyche institution. He is allegedly accused
of having killed five women but only had necrophilia relations with two
of them it seems. What's also interesting is that this book was
published in 1965, the crimes having been committed presumably in the
late 50's or early 60's as best as I can tell. Because of that
the narrative reflects the sexual bias's of those times and the social
ignorance toward sex. He mentions the rejection he got from girls
he had dated regarding oral sex, giving and receiving; this was
considered perverted and disgusting, even to his own wife. The
narrative itself also doesn't go into detail at all about his explicit
sexual activities, only going as far as to state phrases like, "My body
covered her's and I warmed her."
The book is a 128 page read and the condition suggested
maybe it had passed through a couple garage sales. I have not
found any evidence on the Internet that the publisher is still in
business and it's not likely this book had any reprints. The
author, James Harvey, is found on the net having been involved in
certain books about sexuality in the movies and other social venues
during the 60's. The introduction, which I have re-produced here
in its entirety, is written by a psyche PhD, Leonard A. Lowag. I
tracked him over the net and found he seems to have written many
introductions in many different kinds of books throughout the
60's. As you read this introduction you can see how archiac by
today's standards his observations and opinions about sexual perversion
and necrophilia were.. and seemingly absurd conclusions. I'll be
the first to admit that there is amazingly little on the Internet, or
in libraries, regarding specific sexual deviations like necrophilia,
but reading this introduction places you in a period of time of
considerably more ignorance on the subject.
The most horrible crime known to man??
Introduction
By Leonard A. Lowag, Ph.D.
Insane desire in degenerates? What's a degenerate?
Um.. I never had intercourse with any animals, Doc, alive or
dead.
This guy speaks in far too many 'absolutes'.
Hmm.. a necro club?

Well,
while
I'd love to post all 128 pages here the first chapter really captures
the elements of this person's story and the extent of the detail of his
necro escapades. Sorry, I have no idea if this book is in your
local library... but it's certainly not on Amazon.
The following is the epilog from the last page of the book.
